It appears that Crystal Dynamics will be having a busy launch day before the official launch day of Marvel’s Avengers. It was recently announced that they will be holding a third War Table presentation on September 1st and the game will also be getting a Day 1 patch, as many games do. Now hold on, this game comes out on September 4th. Why is all this going on on September 1st? The fans who pre-ordered the game will be given a 72 hour early access, making the game playable on September 1st.
Crystal Dynamics has laid out what players can expect to change and improve in the Day 1 patch in a recent blog. It includes more enemies, more War Zone missions, and more mission types, which were few in the beta. It is unclear if by Day 1 they mean official launch day or the early access launch day. The War Table presentation will be held on September 1st and will lay out what players can do when they launch the game. Not only this, but Crystal Dynamics is expected to reveal yet another hero to come post-launch. In the previous War Table presentation, Hawkeye was revealed as the first hero that will join the Avengers.
When the beta went live, dataminers found a ton of files that suggested more Avengers would be added to the game post-launch. One of these heroes are bound to be the one revealed next week. The question is: which one? You can check out the link above to see what heroes were mentioned. Marvel’s Avengers will be out on September 1st for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. It can be played early by those who pre-ordered the game.
