Serious Sam 4 Releasing In August

Serious Sam 4 Details Unveiled Outta Nowhere

Developer Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital have officially showed off the next Serious Sam title in several trailers that included gameplay that fans of the series will be familiar with. Not only was Serious Sam 4 announced out of nowhere, but it’s also releasing very soon. Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass launches on PC and Google Stadia this August, leaving Serious Sam fans only months to wait for the next title in the series. While other consoles will likely receive the upcoming Serious Sam title eventually, Google Stadia has a timed exclusivity deal for it.

The legendary first person shooter Serious Sam franchise dates back to 2001 and the latest installment will further the quirky storyline. Gamers will apparently have legions of enemies to wipe out with an insane variety of weapons, with access to vehicles to kite enemies more easily with. Companions won’t just be relegated to cutscenes in Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass, they’ll be joining the action on the battlefield. There will be returning enemies from past Serious Sam titles but new enemies will be added to the fray with Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass.

The creatures of Serious Sam have never looked more frightening and savage than they do in Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass. Croteam has been working on the Serious Sam franchise for several years now and Planet Badass has the potential of being the most badass installment to date. While we weren’t expecting such a sudden Serious Sam info dump, the cancellation of E3 likely contributed to the big Planet Badass news.
