Once More Unto the Guardian Breach
Yesterday, the seventh episode and first at-home episode of the Borderlands Show was broadcast and revealed a few cool things. We got to hear a bit about the third major DLC called Bounty of Blood, which is a Fistful of Dollars/Red Dead Redemption parody. While that DLC will be paid, there will also be a free content update that will bring the new Takedown at the Guardian Breach. Like the previous Takedown, this will pit the Vault Hunters against the meanest, most powerful enemies the game has to offer.
The new Takedown will sent the Vault Hunters to the planet of Minos Prime, where they will face off against Guardians in their various forms. If you liked the low-gravity of Skywell-27, then there is good news for you. Minos Prime will have similar effects with its gravity. Though the traversal changes will not be as drastic as they were in The Pre-Sequel, it will hopefully make ground pounds actually useful. The Takedown at the Guardian Breach will have a mini-boss and a final boss, which will offer up cosmetics and unique loot for beating it.
Originally, the Takedowns’ difficulty were meant to be fixed to a max-level party of four, but that permanently changed after the positive reception to a scale-testing earlier this year. Though the reveal of Takedown at the Guardian Breach did not specifically say that it would scale to the party, it is assumed that it will launch with all the adjustments made to the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite. The new Takedown will launch on June 4th. Borderlands 3 is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia.
Will you be doing the Takedown solo or in a group? Let us know in the comments below.
