Vault Hunters Will Be Able to Solo the Borderlands 3 Takedown

I Work Alone

The Borderlands games have been all about guns and runs- I mean looting and shooting. And they have been made in a way where you and your friends or you and strangers can jump in and out of a game without too much hassle. But if you’re like your ol’ pal Zane, you sometimes prefer to do things solo. You may have even been deterred from doing certain things like the new Borderlands 3 Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite. The difficulty is fixed to match 4 max level players with Legendary gear, but that may change for a little while.

Borderlands 3 Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite

In the Borderlands 3 patch notes released on December 5th, Gearbox signed off with a hint that a limited time event would allow the Takedown to scale to the party. This means if you are a party of 3 or less, you can still attempt it with pretty decent chances of success. “At the end of the month, look forward to spending the new year with Maliwan in Borderlands 3! In a time-limited event, the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite will be scaled depending on the number of players in your party. You’ll be able to play solo or with a party of any size to score all that sweet Takedown loot!

Of course, this was part of a patch notes report. This patch also sees the end of the Bloody Harvest event. When Bloody Harvest was announced, the description of it suggested that it was a one and done event, meaning once it was gone, it was gone. Apparently, it will be returning next Halloween and your progress toward the challenges will carry over. In other news, the first major story DLC will be launching on December 19th, so you will have a couple of things to do in Borderlands toward the end of the year. Borderlands 3 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
