Blizzard Reveiled Galakrond’s Awakening. Hearthstone’s Next Solo Adventure
The next solo adventure coming to Hearthstone is known as Galakrond’s Awakening and it releases on January 21st. During a new Hearthside Chat video, Blizzard recapped the events of Hearthstone leading up to the release of Galakrond’s Awakening. They also unveiled a handful of new cards that will be coming to the game in the solo adventure such as Air Raid and Grand Lackey Erkh. Blizzard gamers can download the new update next week on PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
Hearthstone designer, Dean Ayala was part of the Hearthside Chat video to unveil some new cards coming to the game next week. Air Raid summons two 1/1 Silver Hand Recruits with taunt twice, because it also has Twinspell which is an ability that was added in the Rise of Shadows expansion. Grand Lackey Erkh is a legendary minion who adds a lackey to your hand every time you play a lackey, which creates some Hearthstone lackception. This will apparently help Edwin VanCleef and Questing Adventurer mains gain the upper hand on their foes.
“Because the adventure will roll out over the course of three weeks, the meta will also slowly shift as the new cards become available,” said Dean Ayala. Galakrond’s Awakening will add 35 new cards to the game next week, which will be available to all players in the free first chapter of the League of E.V.I.L. campaign. For the remaining chapters, Hearthstone gamers will have to pay $7 each or they can get a bundle for $20, which also includes a bonus Golden Classic Pack. Additional packs will be purchasable as usual for this online card game which will help lapsed players catch their decks up to speed.
