Murder Those Beats
If you’re starving for some pixelated references to the electronic music scene circa 2015, have we got the game for you! Also the game is free, if that first part of the pitch wasn’t enticing enough. Ghosts’n DJs, a Ghosts ‘n Goblins sendoff featuring Deadmau5 and a host of EDM Demons, is coming to Steam next month.
Did we mention that it costs zero dollars? Because it does! The project was started several years ago, but ended up in development hell. Thankfully, the forces of benevolence have swooped in to make sure this weird homage sees the light of day after all.
The game looks to be a short but sweet affair, which is probably for the best. After all, any Ghosts ‘n Goblins homage is likely tough as nails. GnD has four different difficulty settings, three stages, and one final boss. This would be rather noteworthy, if not for the price. Each stage features a different song by Deadmau5, while the various enemy types are based loosely on a handful of different famous DJs. If all this sounds like your cup of tea, Ghosts’n DJs is coming to Steam on February 6th. While the game is free, the developer is opening up the floor to donations, all of which will go to various video game focused children’s charities.
