Borderlands 3 Farming Frenzy Coincides With Takedown Scaling

Make Room for Legendaries

It’s harvest season for Vault Hunters. Starting today, players can take part in the Borderlands 3 Farming Frenzy event. From January 16th to January 30th, rare spawns and Legendary drop rates will be increased. Back in October, a very similar event took place during the Borderlands Anniversary Celebration, but it will likely be a big different. The Rare Spawn Hunt during that time did not have the dedicated loot pool for the enemies like it does now, so the Farming Frenzy may be a little bit more efficient this time around.

So, crank up the Mayhem level to increase the drop rates even further and start your hunt. What’s more, the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite scaling is also in effect. It was rescheduled due to technical difficulties, but is now active. This Takedown supposedly has some of the game’s best shields at this point, so now is the time to get them since the difficulty can be scaled down to a one-person party. Named enemies and bosses from the story, the DLC, and the Circles of Slaughter are prime farming targets. Now that enemies have dedicated loot pools, just research what kind of gear you want, pick your target, and lock and load.

Both the Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite scaling event and the Farming Frenzy are active from January 16th to January 30th. Borderlands 3 is out now on PC, Stadia, Xbox One, and PS4.
