Borderlands 3 Takedown Event Rescheduled For Next Week

Let’s Try This Again

The Takedowns in Borderlands 3 are like raids, and new to the series. You and your best friends/acquaintances that play the game get together and battle the most challenging enemies the Borderlands has to offer and you get sweet loot at the end. Good news for people who want to play solo, Gearbox made a special Borderlands 3 Takedown event where the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite would scale to the party, so players could beat it on their own. Bad news is that the event saw technical difficulties and was postponed. Good new again is that the event has been rescheduled.

Borderlands 3 Takedown Event

While Takedowns can be done over and over, at anytime, the special Takedown Event that would scale the difficulty was planned to span from December 31st until January 16th. On New Year’s Eve, something was tripped up and delayed at the last minute. The most recent hotfix announcement addressed this. Now the event has been rescheduled and will run from January 16th until January 30th. On January 31st, Wotan and the other Maliwan enemies will be back to indiscriminately kicking everyone’s Vault Hunting asses.

This was not the only hotfix update. A couple of issues with shields and FL4K’s skills were fixed, and Annointed enemies are temporarily having their health reduced as part of an ongoing fix that would cause them to be more challenging than intended. Them Annointed are tough SOBs. Borderlands 3 is out on PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One.
