The Cowboy Bebop Crew Is Coming to WWE Champions
WWE Champions is getting a stylish anime makeover as Scopely brings Cowboy Bebop into the ring for a limited-time crossover event.
Running from September 28 through October 4, the “Bounty by Moonlight” event takes WWE Champions into the year 2071, blending the anime’s iconic retro-futuristic style with WWE’s larger-than-life Superstars. Players will get to see some familiar faces step into the ring dressed as Cowboy Bebop’s legendary bounty hunters.
“Bringing larger-than-life icons into the ring is in our DNA, but collaborating with Cowboy Bebop takes that vision to another level,” said Jerome Collin, General Manager of WWE Champions at Scopely. “Its timeless style and legendary cast fit seamlessly into our universe for a truly unforgettable crossover.”
The crossover comes with exclusive gear that lets Superstars transform into members of the Bebop crew. Trick Williams can channel Spike Spiegel with special gear for his Trick Shot, while Sol Ruca gets Faye Valentine-inspired gear for her Sol Snatcher. Bray Wyatt also joins the lineup as Jet Black.
Each crossover character comes with their own entrance and victory animations, giving the event plenty of Cowboy Bebop flair beyond the new outfits. New players can also use the promo code “COWBOY” to grab Trick Williams as a 5-Star Bronze character.
The crossover won’t stick around for long, so Cowboy Bebop fans who also enjoy throwing WWE Superstars into the ring have just one week to experience this awesome collaboration.
