Time to Make the Moon Colorful in Paint The Moon
Ever looked at the Moon and thought it could use a fresh coat of paint? Quirky Duck Studios is turning that idea into a game with Paint The Moon, a new casual title coming to PC via Steam.
As the name suggests, your job is to paint the entire Moon, one square foot at a time. You’ll start with a simple painting beam and gradually earn money as you cover the lunar surface. That money can then be spent on upgrades, with increasingly ridiculous equipment becoming available as you progress.

The game doesn’t appear to take itself too seriously, either. There’s no specific pattern you need to follow, allowing you to experiment with different colours and designs while creating your own version of the Moon.
If you want something more structured, optional contracts will give you additional goals and challenges to tackle. Once you finally finish painting a Moon, it gets added to your collection, giving you the chance to start the process all over again.
The whole premise is wonderfully absurd, but that seems to be exactly what Quirky Duck Studios is going for. It looks like a laid-back game built around simple progression, creativity, and the strange satisfaction of completing an enormous job.
Paint The Moon is coming to PC via Steam, and you can wishlist it now.
