Infinity Ward Has Sneakily Added a New Feature to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Fans Are Mad

Pulled a Little Sneaky One On Ya

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has seen a metric ton of new content throughout the duration of December. A whole set of new maps and features have been added to the game. For the most part, fans have been quite positive about these changes. However, some have noticed that there is a new mechanic in the game that was not there previously. It was not advertised in any of the major updates either. It would appear that Infinity Ward has changed the physics of the multiplayer without letting anyone know.

A thread on Reddit has popped up that is discussing this new change. Players can now bump or crash into each other. This is a big change. Previous a player would just phase through a friendly teammate as though they were not there. But now they do not. For instance, if you have a less than stellar member on your team who is blocking a doorway, there is no way around them.  You’ll have to ask them to get out of the way or just find another way around.

IW why did you make it to where teammates can now push eachother from modernwarfare

This might sound like a minor inconvenience, but it does change the meta of the game in a big way. Especially in the competitive scene. This new collision detection has created some very funny or frustrating moments. Depending on your point of view. People have been showing examples of being pushing into claymores or dangerous sightlines by teammates. Both by accident and purposely. The ability to troll and grief your friends has just expanded exponentially

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has had very mixed reviews from fans since the December updates. It is safe to say that this is one of those features that has not been appreciated by the COD community.
