Final Fantasy 7 Remake Received a New Trailer During The Game Awards
Square Enix showed off a new trailer for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake at The Game Awards which focused on Cloud Strife and his impact on the AVALANCHE team. Cloud is the protagonist of Final Fantasy VII and having a trailer dedicated to him ahead of the release of the game is very fitting. The voice acted dialogue felt familiar to the original game as the characters question Cloud’s motivation and his agenda but the lines of dialogue are mostly unique to this Remake. Final Fantasy 7 Remake releases on March 3rd 2020 for the PS4 as a timed exclusive.
The new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer debuted at The Game Awards began with Cloud discouraging Aerith from getting involved with him, acting like the tough guy fans of the original title know him as. If the Remake is anything like the original, Aerith doesn’t listen to Cloud and pursuits him even more beyond their meeting. Although Cloud assures AVALANCHE that he’ll be done with them beyond the first mission, Biggs and Barret beg to differ as they begin the detonation sequence for the Mako reactor. Check out the aforementioned trailer below:
The first boss of Final Fantasy VII has been showed off before so it’s no big surprise to see the Guard Scorpion in action as it defends the Mako reactor from AVALANCHE. We expect that just like with the original title, it will fail and the group will continue sabotaging the energy company: Shinra Corp. Although the dialogue feels familiar to Final Fantasy VII fans, it truly comes alive with the great voice acting in this story focused trailer.
