New Roles Change the Way RDR2 Online Is Played

Cowboys and Cowgirls Can Choose New Roles Such As a Bounty Hunter, Trader or a Collector

These new roles allow you to choose a specialization similar to classes in MMORPG’s, changing how the game is played depending whether you choose a Bounty Hunter, a Trader or a Collector. After announcing the new roles, Rockstar also mentioned bug fixes and substantial changes to combat and controls coming to the game soon with the intent of filling the world with action. These changes are expected to make it to Red Dead Redemption 2 Online on Xbox One and PS4 later this summer, refreshing the online service once again.

Red Dead Redemption 2 new roles

The new roles Rockstar has created will each feature new skills and abilities, making the experience more unique for gamers. Some of the skills Bounty Hunters gain advanced tracking abilities and the ability to use Eagle Eye while sprinting and galloping on horseback. Bounty Hunters gain a reinforced lasso and additional gun spinning tricks. The Trader is a business man or woman dealing with furs and other materials necessary to the frontier life. Advancing as a trader will make your camp more of a hotel as people buy and sell your goods while a dog companion watches your back. Finally, the Collector searches the landscape for valuable treasure, jewelry and Indigenous heirlooms with refined binoculars, a horse lantern and the particularly handy metal detector.

With these changes, Rockstar intends to add more lootable items to be found throughout the wild west, giving gamers of all sorts more things to look for.
