The Nuke Killstreak and Many More Could Be Back in COD Modern Warfare According to Recent “Leaks”

It’s Starting to Feel Like 2009 Again

The YouTube channel TheGamingRevolution has become well known for leaking information about Call of Duty games in the past. Just yesterday, they claimed that Call of Duty Modern Warfare was going to have a battle royale mode. Today’s leak has to deal with killstreaks. Killstreaks were originally brought into the franchise with COD 4. You were limited to only three as well, there was no customization at all. Everyone got a UAV, Airstrike, and Attack Helicopter. At the time it was groundbreaking and paved the way for its sequel, Modern Warfare 2 to greatly improve on the ambitious addition to the franchise.

call of duty

This was where it really took off.

Chopper gunners, AC 130’s, and Predator Drones were just a few of the new killstreaks that were added. However, the most impactful and sought after killstreak was the infamous Nuke. At 25 kills a player could call in a nuclear bomb and prematurely end the match. It was ridiculous. But also great. Well, good news for those who have fond memories of everyone going bananas every time a nuke got called in because according to rumors, it is coming back.

The Nuke is not the only thing allegedly making a triumphant return to the franchise. Here is a list.

Killstreaks

  • Personal UAV
  • Shielded Turret
  • Care Package
  • Scrambler Drone
  • Cluster Strike
  • Cruise Missile
  • UAV
  • Precision Airstrike
  • Wheelson
  • Pavelow
  • Chopper Support
  • Advanced UAV
  • White Phosphorus
  • Bradley Tank
  • Emergency Airdrop
  • VTOL
  • AC-130
  • Juggernaut
  • Nuke

Please keep in mind that these rumors are totally unsubstantiated at this time. None of these are coming back for sure. There could be no killstreaks at all for all we know. But, since the developers have seemed to borrow tons of inspiration from older titles, then why not add in some old killstreaks too? It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch.
