Anticipating Doom: Eternal’s Release, Bethesda Shadow Drops the Classic Doom Trilogy
Celebrating Doom’s 25th Anniversary, Bethesda has many surprises to unveil at this years QuakeCon to fans of this classic franchise, including gameplay of the upcoming Doom: Eternal. During the QuakeCon keynote presentation, Bethesda surprised everyone with the immediate release of id’s demonic retro PC games Doom and Doom II on iOS and Android. This Shadow drop includes those vintage game ports as well as Doom 3 on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
Fans eagerly looking forward to the release of Doom: Eternal (November 22nd, 2019) will have plenty of demons to slay their way through during the wait, being able to play the first two installments of the series on mobile while slaying their way through the third game at home. Nintendo Switch owners will have the best of both worlds, playing Doom, Doom II and Doom 3 wherever they choose.
These console re-releases will feature all of the DLC across the titles as well as four player co-op and four player deathmatch multiplayer where you and your friends compete to be king of the hill. Doom II also includes the master levels which are community maps which developers were compelled to put their stamp of approval on. Doom and Doom II are priced at $5 each while Doom 3 costs $10 due to the drastic jump between the generations.
