It Appears DOOM Eternal Will Get Two Single-Player Year One Campaign Expansions

DOOM Eternal Set to Receive Not One but Two Single-Player DLC

During their press conference at E3 this year Bethesda dropped a brand new story trailer for DOOM Eternal, complete with a release date. Now, just a few days later it seems that the game will have a load of post-launch content.

Doom Eternal

According to the the game’s collector’s edition, DOOM Eternal is set to receive not one, but two single-player DLC releases in the year following its release as part of its “Year One” post-launch content. The content listed in the edition listed a DOOM Eternal Year One Pass which grants access to two single-player campaign expansions. At this time it appears that while we can expect the game to become a bigger and more in-depth experience following its launch, right now it’s unclear how much content will be released in the expansions.

Additionally, there’s no further information to suggest when this new content will be released following the games launch. It does seem likely however that one will drop around the six month mark following DOOM Eternal’s release, and then the second DLC will likely drop around the one-year anniversary.

And if you’re not too sure what all the hubbub is about with DOOM Eternal, here’s the official game description for the sequel to the 2016 DOOM reboot: “DOOM Eternal puts you in control of the unstoppable DOOM Slayer as you blow apart new and classic demons with powerful weapons in unbelievable and never-before-seen worlds. As the DOOM Slayer, you return to find Earth has suffered a demonic invasion. Raze Hell and discover the Slayer’s origins and his enduring mission to rip and tear…until it is done.”

DOOM Eternal is set to release on November 22, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Google Stadia, and Nintendo Switch. What do you think about the idea of more DOOM content after launch? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
