Could Bulletstorm 2 Become a Reality?
It’s been years since 2011’s Bulletstorm launched but its developer at People Can Fly still has a new game in the series in mind, says the Polish studio’s CEO.
“We are, as you can see [with the remaster and the Switch version], still holding this IP deep in our hearts,” People Can Fly CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski said to Eurogamer. “We want this IP to have its second life. We’re still not sure what that means but obviously since this is our IP – we own the IP – and the IP is known and has its fans, we would like to do something about it.”
“There are no immediate plans to come back to this IP, taking into consideration our current effort on Outriders,” he continued, “but if we think about PCF in the longer-run, then obviously it would be awesome to come back to this IP.”
Outriders is a new co-op shooter that was revealed last month during Square Enix’s E3 conference. It’s currently scheduled to come out next summer.
Wojciechowski also told Eurogamer that the audience for a new Bulletstorm would need to be “bigger” than the first game’s and added that coming back to the IP isn’t guaranteed.
