Mortal Kombat 11 DLC Announcement as Reward for Finding Stolen Car

Dude, Where’s My Car?

It pays to have friends in high places. On June 13th, the final day of E3 this year, the vehicle of someone by the name of Shane Satterfield was stolen. It was taken sometime in the morning from in front of a Starbucks just a couple of blocks from the LA Convention Center. Luckily, when Satterfield took to Twitter for help, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon called upon the E3 attendees for additional help. He said that if someone at E3 found Shane’s car, he would announce one of the two final Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters.

About twelve hours after the car went missing, it was found not too far from where it was stolen. Perhaps one of the thieves followed Ed Boon on Twitter and realized what they had gotten themselves into. Satterfield said only a few items like an old iPod were taken. Probably an iPod Classic since that is the superior iPod. Regardless, Shane was happy just to get his car back. It is unclear exactly who found the car, but what of the reward promised by Ed Boon? Does the hero of our story have to be an E3 attendee?

So far, no announcement from Boon or NetherRealm. Perhaps they are working out a reveal like they did for the characters announced two weeks ago. Perhaps they won’t do it at all. Still, we’re going to find out who the characters are one way or another. Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and is in development for Google Stadia.
