The Park is Open… Again
After 2015’s Jurassic World gave the franchise new life, Universal wanted to keep the train rolling with a video game. Frontier Developments was up to the task and Jurassic World Evolution was born to accompany the release Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The business/park simulator features the voice talents of stars Jeff Goldblum, B.D. Wong, and Bryce Dallas Howard. Almost a year after the release, we are getting some more Jurassic World Evolution DLC and with it returns a familiar voice. Bryce Dallas Howard is coming back as Claire Dearing.
The DLC, titled Claire’s Sanctuary, appears to be a What If scenario where Claire Dearing’s mission to save the dinosaurs from Isla Nublar succeeds. In Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, she is recruited to help evacuate the dinosaurs from the island but is double-crossed and the dinos are taken for a different purpose. The new DLC sees Claire building a new park for them instead. The new content includes new structures, new features, as well as three new dinosaurs. The Albertosaurus, Euoplocephalus, and Ouranosaurus, which are probably real names of dinosaurs (?), are added.
The new features include things like more park customization. These fan-requested features allow for gyrospheres to pass through fences with automatic gates and the terrain can be changed from grassland to wetland to dirt areas. The ability to research and grow prehistoric plants is now available in the new Paleobotany building. Now all we need is some Chris Pratt DLC. Claire’s Sanctuary will be available on June 18th on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
Will you provide these dinos with a safe haven? Let us know in the comments below.
