Jedi: Fallen Order Will Be a Star Wars Experience That Will Have Some “New Themes”
Last month EA and Respawn showcased the very first look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order with a brand new trailer and they confirmed that there will be an emphasis put onto the story. Recently industry veteran and writer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Chris Avellone had an interview with VGC and talked all things Star Wars.
Now if you’re wondering where you’ve heard Chris Avellone’s name before he’s worked on Fallout 2, Fallout Vegas, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and more. Avellone stated that he found returning to the Star Wars franchise has been “very smooth”, unlike when he first began working on KoTOR 2. He mentioned that while he was preparing for the game he “rediscovered my nine-year-old self and was really excited.”
Now while Avellone’s KoTOR 2 script was praised for its story that touched well in between the light and dark sides of The Force, he stated that he won’t be returning to these same themes with Fallen Order. “The themes were established when I came onto Fallen Order. KoTOR 2 tells its own story and I feel like Fallen Order was an opportunity to explore new themes and go in a very unusual direction, because there is some stuff in there that I was not expecting.” He continued saying, “I think Fallen Order is going to offer a Star Wars experience, but there are also some interesting new perspectives that I think players will appreciate.”
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to release on November 15th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. What do you think about what Avellone had to say? What do you think these new themes could be? Let us know your thoughts in the comment below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
