New Elder God Is in Her Element
Mortal Kombat 11 is almost 30-years old, and yet NetherRealm is still developing new characters for its deadly roster. Their latest challenger is very different from the usual rotation of men and women. As a matter of fact, she’s downright fantastical. This week, we receive our first look at the Elder God Cetrion.
As part of their month-long coverage of Mortal Kombat 11, GameInformer has published an all-new trailer featuring an all-new fighter. The Elder Gods have had their place in the Mortal Kombat lore for a long while, but Mortal Kombat 11 represents NetherRealm’s first deep dive into the pantheon. If Raiden is the God of Thunder, Cetrion is the god of everything else. Her fighting style involves flexible combos and a colorful dance of the elements. She’s deadly, wild, and here to ruin everyone’s day.
Cetrion is not the first all-new character introduced in the latest iteration of the fighting franchise. At the game’s debut, we were introduced to Elder God Garris. If the story permits, we may see additional Elder Gods before the roster peaks. Along the way, we’re more than likely to catch a few more returning faces.
