A Leaked Legend Seems to be Hanging Out in King’s Canyon
Apex Legends has had a pretty crazy week full of rumors and potential leaks, but this is the first time something has actually appeared in-game that points towards incoming new content.
The above jump pad has reportedly been popping up around the Market area in King’s Canyon, according to numerous reddit posts, some of which have been responded to with sly and cheeky emojis from the Respawn team. The pad is expected to be the ultimate ability for a legend named Octane who recently leaked alongside some information on the game’s Battle Pass.
Apex Legend’s battle pass hasn’t been officially announced yet, but between the aforementioned leak and the inclusion of jump pads, it looks like it may drop soon. Today may have been a good day to do it to compete with the launch of the Division 2 and the start of the weekend but these things do take time, and considering how top-notch everything else in the game has been so far, I’m sure the team at Respawn will put everything out when they feel it meets the standard they’ve set.
Dataminers have been hard at work trying to figure out what’s next for Apex Legends, some of which found flamethrowers and other cool weapons, and in one case found a bunch of new, unannounced characters. Respawn has since reminded everyone that datamined information is not always a source of truth, but it’s fun to theorize and who knows, some of it still could be in the pipeline.
