The Black Ninja Returns
Noob Saibot is in Mortal Kombat 11, and he looks better and badder than ever. Revealed in a C2E2 livestream, the undead ninja that began life as a spin-off has forged a new identity as a fan-favorite and standout character.
The latest trailer comes with an expansive look at Noob’s abilities, his brutality, and his amazing Fatality. For those who remember the lore of Mortal Kombat 9, the revenant ninja reemerged as the brother of Sub-Zero. For the story of MK11, it looks like NetherRealm Studios has maintained that continuity. However, they’ve made a lot of fine tweaks to his characteristics and fighting style. See for yourself.
For the most part, Noob has retained his identity. His appearance, this time around, has more of a battle-ready slant. He no longer looks like a generic ninja but a stone cold, undead killer. His weapon, the hook blade, is a fancy addition to his arsenal and makes him seem more unique than prior. No doubt, fans are ready to get back into the groove with his unique copycat shenanigans. NetherRealm Studios has embraced the character’s style of combat and made it better than ever, as they’ve done with much of the roster.
Prior to launch on April 23, 2019, NetherRealm will host a closed Mortal Kombat 11 beta on March 27, 2019, 8 AM PT, for those who pre-order. The beta will run through 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sunday, March 31.
