Go Outside Now That It’s Nice Out and Catch Some Pokemon!
Now that Spring is almost here in the northern hemisphere and Autumn is approaching in the southern, it’s time for trainers to get back outside and start catching some Grass-type Pokemon.
The event kicks off on March 19th at 1pm PDT/4pm EDT, and runs straight through the equinox to March 26th at the same times. Grass-types including Oddish, Exeggcute, Sunkern and Shroomish will see increased spawn rates, and Lunatone and Solrock will switch hemispheres at the start of the event.
Niantic is also promising more Grass-types in raid battles, along with new field research and new moves for the following:
- Acid Spray: Arbok, Victreebel, Tentacruel, Muk, Alolan Muk, Quagsire, Qwilfish, Octillery, and Swalot.
- Leaf Tornado: Victreebel, and Shiftry.
In other recent Pokemon news, the latest titles in the mainline series were recently announced for the Nintendo Switch, and are set to launch later this year. Additonally, a recent Snapshot feature was added to GO that allows you to pose your favorite creatures for photographs, and presents players a chance to catch Smeargle!
