Anthem Open Demo Available Now

This is the Anthem, Throw All Your Hands Up

After a rocky closed demo last week, Anthem is opening the floodgates to even more people this weekend ahead of it’s release later this month.

From today through Sunday, anyone can jump into Anthem across PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The client is 26GB on consoles and 44GB on PC, and you’ll be required to sign into your EA/Origin account. If you’re playing on console, you’ll also require a PS+ or Xbox Live Gold subscription – Xbox players are in luck as the service is having a Free Play Days for All weekend for the duration of the demo.

Players will be able to take part in two story missions and a portion of the game’s full map, as well as a more challenging four-player play-type called Stronghold. With the exception of Stronghold, everything can be done solo or with friends – those who play together will gain extra experience as a reward for their endeavors. Players will start at level 10 with a cap of 15 for the demo, and will start off with the Ranger Javelin, and a choice of Colossus, Interceptor, or Storm at level 12.

BioWare has listed a handful of fixes from the previous demo, which you can check out our impressions of here. Let us know if you’ll be jumping into a Javelin this weekend in the comments!
