Marvel’s Spider-Man Has Been a Huge Commercial Success
Marvel’s Spider-Man managed to sell over 9 million copies as of November 25, 2018, Sony announced on Monday. The company also announced that the PS4 has sold over 91.6 million units globally as of December 31, 2018.
In October 2018, we reported that the lifetime sales of the PS4 reached 86.1 million units. This recent sales figure of 91.6 million puts the console within distance of the sales milestone of 100 million units sold which is something that only a handful of consoles have ever managed to achieve.
John Kodera, the President & CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, celebrated the PS4 reaching the 91.6 million units milestone and also said that 2019 “will bring more enhanced experiences” to PS4 owners.
“This year, we will bring more enhanced experiences to our fans along with a highly anticipated lineup of games that are only possible on PS4,” Kodera said.
As for Marvel’s Spider-Man, if you’re interested in buying the game then you should read our review beforehand.
“I can’t stop thinking about this game. If I’m not playing it, I want to be,” the review’s author wrote. “The web-slinging is brilliant, the combat is deceptively deep and diverse, and there are a million things to do. The story is emotional, resonant, and teases fans of the series in countless ways. It’s one of the best looking games of the year, and honestly, one of the best games I’ve ever played, full stop.”
