Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector’s Edition (with a K) is Revealed

Mortal Kombat Kontinues their War on the Letter C

Remember the days when there was no “standard edition” of game releases? You got the game, it was complete, there was no DLC, but there was also no cool stuff. Getting the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time gold cartridge was sweet, but it was still the same game. There was no special Mario skin or anything. I had to wait like 20 years before getting a Zelda hoodie for the game. Anyway, flash forward to the present. We got standard editions, we got special editions, we got gold editions, we got season passes. Mortal Kombat continues that trend with the Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector’s Edition.

Man, they are really committed to that alleged typo. As was said above, Mortal Kombat 11 has it’s standard and premium editions. The details of the premium edition can be found here. The Kollector’s Edition gives fans something a little more physical. The cover art depicts Scorpion, it’s fitting that the Kollector’s Edition should come with a Scorpion mask. It also comes with a steel case for the game box and a Mortal Kombat magnet. The mask has a bust to rest on as well. This edition can be pre-ordered at Mortal Kombat’s website, and since it’s a pre-order, it comes with Shao Kahn as a playable character. The standard and premium editions can also be purchased there.

The Kollector’s Edition costs $300 US/$400 CAN, the premium edition costs $90 US/$100 CAN, and the standard edition costs about $60. It’s certainly no Dark Souls Trilogy Collection at $580, but that’s still that’s still a $300 mask you’re paying for. However, memorabilia is priceless to the right people, so if it interests you, go for it.
