Battlefield V’s Launch Trailer Probably Should Have Been the First

“The Countdown” Is Nearly Done

On November 15, players across the globe will revisit the war waged across the globe. As such, EA DICE have revealed their launch trailer for Battlefield V, which probably exemplifies the experience better than any trailer thus far.

Battlefield V’s new launch trailer (available below) is almost a far cry from the premiere showcase. While both pieces of footage provide a glimpse of the game mechanics and features, the latter may have been too stylistic for long-time fans of the franchise. For history buffs, the character customization put on display may have been off-putting, to say the least. Then there’s the question of women’s participation in the war, which we will not get into.

The launch trailer for Battlefield V does its due, with a varied showcase of in-game vehicles, maps, and weapons we can expect to see at launch. It’s all about conflict across theaters of War, which includes northern Europe and Africa. Down the line, we can probably hope for content in the form of the Eastern Front and the Pacific. Luckily, new DLC will be made available for free, which means no online segregation and waiting for a sale.

Though the game will launch six days from now, anyone subscribed to Origin Access Premiere can play on PC today. Xbox One owners can do the same through EA Access. This Holiday season, we’ll witness our first DLC for Tides of War, which is a series of themed multiplayer maps that shall arrive alongside in-game events. Stay tuned for updates.
