Bandai Namco Europe has announced that a new add-on for Ni No Kuni II will be available later this year, and released a few details on what to expect from the new chapter.
“The Lair of the Lost Lord” will see players take on The Prince of Wraiths, the ruler of a mysterious Labyrinth who plans to use the world’s corruption to destroy the kingdom of Evermore (and after you worked so hard on it!). A new ability called the Martial Method is on the way as well that players can obtain “from memories of people met during the journey.” The publisher says more information “will be coming soon.”
The blog post announcement also states that “Additional content will also include more than 80 new piece of equipment that will elevate the team to new heights, newly added quests revealing the back story of some of the main characters, and a returning enemy seeking a final rematch posing a deadly challenge…”
Sounds like Ni No Kuni fans have quite a bit to look forward to! The DLC will be available this Winter, and is included as a part of the game’s season pass, and will also be available to purchase separately. The most recent piece of content added to the JRPG was the Adventure Pack this past Summer.
