DoA 6 Gets a New Trailer & a Release Date
Dead or Alive 6 is scheduled to come out on February 15, 2019, according to an official trailer that was shown during Monday’s PlayStation LineUp Tour event.
The upcoming fighting game will be available on the PC, PS4 & Xbox One and, according to its developers, it won’t be a “boobie fighter” like the previous entries in the Dead or Alive series.
“Toning down the sexual expression doesn’t relate to esports,” said the game’s director Yohei Shimbori. “It’s more of a world trend. We’re considering how to make this franchise well-received everywhere.”
“The game, we feel, has always been very deep,” said creative director Tom Lee. “We want to emphasize those areas. That doesn’t necessarily mean we’re going to change, that all these beautiful figures will be changed completely. I think the attention will also be placed on a lot of the fighting game mechanics. People that have never considered Dead or Alive to be a ‘true fighter’ will see that.”
If you want more info on Dead or Alive 6 then check out a preview we published for it recently. “Team Ninja’s direction in this new game is clearly sound, and while a few technical tweaks need to be made the action is intense and the new visual systems amaze me every time I see them,” the preview’s author wrote.
