This New ‘Samurai Shodown’ Game Looks Pretty Sharp!
Last week SNK teased a new game announcement and on Monday it was revealed to be a new Samurai Shodown game (or, as it’s titled in Japan, Samurai Spirits). You can watch its official trailer below!
Set in Japan circa 1787, this cel-shaded fighting game features tons of swords and a vibrant cast of characters. Not much else is known about the game aside from it being available on PS4 and being scheduled to launch in 2019.
According to the trailer & the official website, Samurai Shodown will run on the Unreal 4 engine.
It’s been nine years since the last entry in the series, an anthology collection, came out in 2009.
