One Consequence in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Is Killing an Entire Island

With Great Weapons Comes No Responsibility

Ubisoft has already sung the Epic that is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – It’s a large game with too many activities. But how much is there to do, and what are the consequences of your actions? We already know the game boasts over 300 quests, but we have a small inkling of how choices impact the world. Well, the developer just dropped a galley of info.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

From inciting ambushes to spreading the plague, the player’s choice affects him/her and the world around them. Whether you fill the sandals of Kassandra or Alexios, every quest provides, at minimum, a pair of branching paths—so the latest video suggests. For instance (minor spoilers ahead), a pair of thugs ambushes the player in the first mission. Once you fight them off, you’ll have the option to spare or murder them. The former option leads to another ambush, later on. Kill them, and you’ve rid yourself of future problems.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey shall include tougher decisions, like the option to spare a sick family. You’ll either save their lives and free them from the soldiers’ bonds or risk eradicating the entire island. There should be a third option where you can kill the family and the soldiers, but hey, that’s just my take on freedom of choice. Catch it all in the latest footage down below.

Assassin’s Creedy Odyssey will launch for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 15th. If you absolutely must play early, you can dish out a little extra cash for the Gold Edition. Note, however, Ubisoft hasn’t delivered word on a day one patch—if there will be one and whether it will be available to early users. There will be loads of post-launch content, the roadmap of which has already been detailed. Stay tuned for updates in the weeks leading up to launch and beyond.
