A Deadly Case of Deja Vu!
Hitman 2 is going to have remade versions of all six maps from 2016’s Hitman, according to an official Monday announcement from series developer IO Interactive.
These remade maps will incorporate several of Hitman 2’s new mechanics (such as being able to hide in foliage or carrying a sniper rifle in a briefcase) and will be available via an update to Hitman 2 that’s titled “The HITMAN Legacy Pack”. This update is free for owners of the first season.
According to an official press release, this update will bring “a brand new progression system, addition of hiding in foliage and crowds displayed at improved fidelity, picture-in-picture mode, strategic use of mirrors, improved combat A.I., new gameplay items like the briefcase, dart gun, flash grenades, etc., new difficulty levels and much more!”
IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak described this upcoming update as “a big thank you” to Hitman fans.
If you’re interested in the upcoming sequel then you should read a preview we published back in June. “If you’re even a casual fan of the franchise, you’re going to want to keep Hitman 2 on your short list,” the preview’s author wrote. “The franchise tradition of murderous creativity looks to be alive and well.”
Hitman 2 is scheduled to launch on November 13th for the PC, PS4 & Xbox One.
