H1Z1 Leaves Open Beta Today, Adds Battle Pass and New Weapons

H1Z1 Officially Joins the Battle Royale Battle Royale

Free-to-play Battle Royale pioneer H1Z1 is finally leaving open beta on PS4 today and brings with it a bevy of new content, including a multi-tier battle pass for players to blast their way through.

H1Z1’s first Battle Pass is here, allowing PS4 players to unlock 30 unique rewards across three different lines including free, premium, and a specific line for PS+ members. It’ll run players $5.49 USD and carry progression between lines. Along with this comes two new launch bundles, one of which is the Viper Starter bundle ($4.99 USD), the other being the Hardline Deluxe Bundle ($34.99 USD) which includes the Premium Battle Pass. Both bundles are discounted until September 4th on the Playstation store – 10% for regular PSN members, and 15% for PS+ subscribers.

Additionally, a new RPG and SOCOM sniper rifle are joining the game in gold tier and purple tier airdrops respectively. The RPG is mainly for taking out enemy vehicles, and the SOCOM rifle offers a new option for long-range shootouts. A new vehicle, the ARV, has also joined the game, and can fit a full team of five with a hatch in the top for squad members to fire out of.
