Microsoft Announces Movies Anywhere Support on Xbox and Windows 10

Movies Anywhere Service Still Limited to US Consumers

Microsoft has announced that their Microsoft Movies & TV app for Xbox and Windows 10 will now support Disney’s Movies Anywhere, a service that brings all your purchased digital movies and shows into one place.

It’s pretty straightforward to set up too. All you need to do is connect your Microsoft account with your Movies Anywhere account. Doing so means “all of your eligible movies from Microsoft can be enjoyed across your favourite screens at no extra cost.” The reverse is also true. Items that you’ve purchased from other digital stores (iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, Amazon Video, etc.) will now show up through the Movies & TV app. Whether it be on iOS, Android, or smart TV’s, all of your purchases come with you which means you can enjoy them whenever and wherever you want.

For a limited time, connecting your Microsoft account to your Movies Anywhere account will get you a free digital copy of 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. You can visit this page for more details about the free offer.

Various film companies like Disney, Sony, 20th Century Fox, Universal, and Warner Bros. support Movies Anywhere, so you shouldn’t have to worry too much about a movie or TV show not being eligible for the service. The only bit of bad news is that Movies Anywhere is still limited to only US consumers.

With no subscription or membership fees, weekly deals, as well as the ability to earn rewards credits and now MA support, Microsoft has now made purchasing movies and shows through their store extremely tempting.
