Splatoon-Inspired Racer Trailblazers Coming to Switch, Physical Edition This September

Trailblazers Drifts Onto Everyone’s Favorite Hybrid Console

After launching on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this past May, F-Zero-meets-Splatoon racer Trailblazers is finally making it’s way to the Switch this September, alongside a shiny physical edition with a bunch of extra content.

Originally targeting a June release, Trailblazers will hit the Switch this September with a brand new character to play as, Boo’s Dad. It’ll also include “increased single-player content” right at launch, which has yet to be detailed. The physical edition itself will be available for both PS4 and Nintendo Switch, with Xbox seemingly being left out for unknown reasons.

Developer Supergonk also promises cross-platform play, which likely comes with an enormous asterisk for the PS4 version of the game as it only allows for the feature between the console and PC players.

No exact release date has been set yet, but the game is currently available digitally on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Be sure to check out our review, where our own Mario Brash regarded Trailblazers as “The closest we’ll get to Splatoon and F-Zero on non-Nintendo consoles.”
