Make Your Pokemon Look Super Fashion in Let’s Go
Nintendo has released a new trailer for the upcoming Pokemon: Let’s Go games for Nintendo Switch, showing off a handful of new features the developers have implemented to reinvigorate the return to Kanto.
Players will be able to bond with their partner Pokemon similar to the mechanic in Sun and Moon, and can choose which sex they prefer it to be when they start up the game. You can further customize your partner Pokemon with different hairstyles and clothing, including hats, jackets, and bowties.
As we’ve seen in previous gameplay, Pokemon follow the player around Kanto once again, but are a little more useful this time around as players can ride “select larger Pokemon” such as Onix, Arcanine, and Lapras (which is not new but still great (expect Charizard, Gyarados, and Dragonite, to be rideable as well, as they’re also larger Pokemon that have been ridden in past Pokemon media)). Follower Pokemon will also find items hidden in bushes, much like the dowsing machine in past games.
The trailer also features a small portion dedicated to previously announced mechanics such as the return of gym leaders, a “friendly” rival, along with co-op play and trading. Nothing new to report there, but the gym battles look pretty beautiful.
In case you missed it, Nintendo announced at E3 that each Pokeball Plus would come with a special mythical Pokemon, and some of the game’s features will require a Nintendo Online subscription. Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch this fall.
