Vampyr Has Sold More Than 450,000 Copies So Far

The Action-RPG Has Sold Nearly Half a Million Copies

Vampyr, an action-RPG about, you guessed it, a vampire, has sold more than 450,000 copies since its launch last month. The CEO of the game’s developer, Dontnod Entertainment, said that they were “very proud” of Vampyr’s sales.

“We are very proud, because since its launch, our [latest] original creation meets a great craze among players,” CEO Oskar Guilbert said. “Thanks to our new role as co-producer, we will greatly benefit from this commercial success.”

These sales are for all the platforms that Vampyr launched on (which was the PC, Xbox One & PS4). Considering that it’s only been a month since the game launched, it looks like it might reach or possibly even surpass the sales figure it’s publisher, Focus Home Interactive, said it needed to meet in order to be seen as a commercial success.

“From our investment, it will be considered a success when around a million copies are sold, but it will only need half of that to be profitable,” said former Focus Home CEO Cedric Lagarrigue last November. Lagarrigue later resigned from his position as CEO in April with no explanation.
