Finally, Nathan Drake on the…YouTube Screen?
It turns out that the Uncharted-related thing that actor Nathan Fillion was teasing last week is an unofficial fan film, not a major motion picture. You can watch the whole 14-minute YouTube video below!
The Nathan Drake depicted in the video looks similar to the one that players took control of in Uncharted 4 and Fillion certainly sounds a lot like the beloved adventurer.
The fan film was directed & co-written by Allan Ungar, who has several past directing and writing credits (according to his IMDB page).
Since this film is unofficial then that means it wasn’t made by Sony or Uncharted’s developer Naughty Dog. At the beginning of the video, there’s a statement that says that the fan film is “intended for entertainment purposes only” and its YouTube description says that the film wasn’t made for profit.
This all appears to be an effort to prevent Sony from requesting a DMCA takedown of the video.
