Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom to Last 40 Hours, More Details Included

Ni no Kuni II Takes 40 Hours

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is set to release in about a month’s time, and details are slowly emerging regarding this beautiful RPG. Wccftech was able to send some questions to President and CEO of Level-5, Akihiro Hino, regarding the game. In addition to the playtime, Hino also discussed a few other specifics regarding the series, its story, and its features.

When asked about the playtime, Hino stated that though adjustments are continually being made to the game, it will feature about 40 hours of gameplay in total. This playtime does not include features such as side quests or the kingdom mode, which will bring the total number of hours up. While some RPGs can last upwards of 100 hours, 40 hours sounds completely manageable for those with less time to spend on games.

The kingdom mode, which is new to the series, allows players to recruit characters and build up Evan’s kingdom, providing the player with strong accessories and magic. In addition to the kingdom mode, Ni no Kuni II features the Higgledies, which fill the void left by the removal of the familiars from the original title.

For players with a PlayStation 4 Pro, it was revealed that the game will run at dynamic 4k at 60 frames-per-second. Lastly, Hino mentioned that it is undecided with regards to the possibility of a Ni no Kuni remaster, but that he is happy to hear the requests from fans.
