No PlayStation Plus Subscription Required!
The multiplayer tank combat game, Armored Warfare, is now available for free for PS4 users. This isn’t a PlayStation Plus game, so a subscription for the service isn’t required for a digital download of the game. Check out the trailer below!
In Armored Warfare, players battle either each other or the game’s A.I. using a roster of modern tanks such as the American M1 Abrams, the Russian Soviet-era T-72 AV, the Polish PL-01, the Italian Centauro 120, the British Fox and the German Leopard tank. There are even self-propelled guns for players to use such as the German Panzerhaubitze 2000.
While a PS Plus subscription isn’t needed, subscribers can get a special vehicle, a unique LAV 150 90 (which comes with a PlayStation skin), along with 500,000 in game credit and 500 gold. Subscribers will also get to rent a range of exclusive vehicles for three days.
“Players team up with friends to engage in demanding co-op missions or take the fight directly to their opponents by navigating across large interactive maps,” the press release for the announcement stated. “Through the revolutionary Global Operations mode, players may also take part in a challenging mix of competitive and cooperative gameplay.”
The Global Operations mode is described as a “unique blend of PvP and PvE modes using a large-scale battlefield”. In the mode, players will be able to wage entire tank battles over large scale maps. Armored Warfare also features co-op missions.
