Shinji Mikami, Director of The Evil Within, Wants to See the Sequel on the Nintendo Switch

Shinji Mikami Wants the Evil Within 2 on the Nintendo Switch

In less than a month, the much anticipated sequel for The Evil Within will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Of course, if you’re someone who has been hoping The Evil Within 2 would make an appearance on the Nintendo Switch, you might be surprised to know that Shinji Mikami feels the same way.

The Evil Within 2

In a recent interview with GameStop, Shinji Mikami, the director of The Evil Within as well as the Resident Evil series, recently said that he would love to see The Evil Within 2 on the Switch. “I think a Switch version would be interesting. I’d like to try it if I had the chance.” Although this isn’t exactly confirmation that this is a planned port, at least we know that if Nintendo is also on board with the idea, it’s a definite possibility. Bethesda is the publisher of The Evil Within 2,  and considering their willingness to bring games like DOOM and Wolfenstein II: The Colossus to the Nintendo Switch we’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds.

With that said, there could be a bit of a road block to his plan. Apparently, Mikami doesn’t currently own a Nintendo Switch yet. Here’s what he had to say about it, “First I’d like to buy a Switch myself. I had to borrow Zelda with the Switch from another staff member to play it.” The much anticipated horror title will be released for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 13th.

So what do you think? Do you want to see The Evil Within 2 on the Nintendo Switch and do you think it’s a possibility? Let us know in the comments below and keep it locked for updates!
