Destiny 2 Officially Announced, Confirming Years of Speculation

Destiny 2 Confirmed… Finally

Today, Bungie has officially/finally announced the sequel to their popular MMO Shooter. Destiny is to be succeeded by Destiny 2, confirmed via the following tweet:

This arrives on top of the recently leaked cover for Destiny 2 which displayed a release date. That release date, however, remains unofficial. We do not know how much longer Bungie will beat around the bush; but, concerning this game, the suspicions are finally at rest and the game officially in the works.

It may be no surprise that Bungie waited this long to confirm Destiny 2. We are still without screenshots or gameplay footage; therefore, we don’t yet know how this title will vary from its predecessor. Perhaps Bungie chose to confirm their game with a small gap between confirmation and media content. If that’s the case then we can expect in-game representations soon. After all, it seems that Bungie has to release Destiny 2 before the end of 2017. You can read more about their deal with Activision here.

Destiny 2

There is little information beyond an announcement at this point. So far we know the game is liable to release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Stick around to keep updated on the latest as it comes. We expect to hear more soon. How much more? That remains up in the air. In the meantime, feel free to drop a comment down below letting us know your thoughts on this announcement of Destiny 2. Happy gaming.
