Bungie has confirmed that Marathon will launch on March 5, 2026, arriving simultaneously on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are now open, and Bungie has marked the announcement with a brand-new trailer, a reveal of the English-language voice cast, details on the Collector’s Edition, and fresh insights into its upcoming survival extraction FPS.
Set on the distant world of Tau Ceti IV, Marathon invites players to investigate the ruins of a lost colony as biocybernetic Runners. Each mission challenges players to survive hostile environments while clashing with enemy security forces, rival Runners, and the planet’s many unpredictable threats. Bungie’s newly released gameplay trailer highlights the intense atmosphere, showcasing lethal encounters, tense firefights, and the constant risk that defines every expedition to the planet’s surface.
Marathon will launch in both Standard and Deluxe Editions, with a premium Collector’s Edition also available for fans looking to dive deeper into the universe. The game supports full cross-play and cross-save, allowing players to seamlessly switch platforms while retaining their progress and loadouts.
To celebrate the launch, Bungie is also tying the game into the wider studio ecosystem. Destiny 2 players will be able to claim Marathon-themed rewards through the Eververse Store, while those who pre-order it will receive exclusive in-game ornaments.
