Idea Factory and Compile Heart have announced a physical PC release for the dungeon-crawling JRPG Tokyo Clanpool, giving fans and collectors a definitive new way to own the game. Pre-orders open this Thursday, January 22, at 10:00 a.m. ET, 7:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 p.m. UK, and 11:00 p.m. HK through the eastasiasoft store and select retail partners, including Playasia. For this release, eastasiasoft will also offer international shipping exclusively through its own storefront.

This updated edition restores all content from the original Japanese release and features a faithful localization with English and Traditional Chinese text. Eastasiasoft will provide an off-site patch for players who already own the digital GOG version, allowing them to restore content removed from earlier releases. Alongside this announcement, Idea Factory has officially confirmed the cancellation of Tokyo Clanpool’s Nintendo Switch release in North America and Europe, positioning the PC Tokyo Clanpool Uncut Edition as the only physical version available outside Japan.

Compile Heart and Idea Factory originally developed Tokyo Clanpool, while eastasiasoft will publish the Uncut Edition exclusively. The physical release comes on a uniquely branded USB drive and includes a soundtrack CD, art book, poster, sticker sheets, acrylic character standees, and a numbered certificate, all housed in a premium collector’s box. Eastasiasoft has priced the set at US$49.99 plus shipping and plans to begin fulfillment in early 2026.

Only 1,000 units will be produced, making this a highly limited release. Idea Factory and eastasiasoft have thanked fans for their patience while preparing this long-awaited announcement.
