We like to be reminded why we subscribed to Xbox Gold. Perks, online play, BackWards Compatability, all the neat stuff. This time around, we are reminded rather generously. April’s Games with Gold hits us in the right spot with some of the best games to reach Xbox One consoles, free of charge. See for yourself down below:
April gets us Ryse: Son of Rome, what now serves an Xbox One classic with its freshness of genre. Yet with that old-fashioned revenge story that sees blood spilled on the path to Rome, though no less than we’ve come to suspect, thanks to history. A great Action RPG for your library. The game goes free between April 16 and May 16.
Additionally, no one can go wrong with The Walking Dead. Telltale Games’ critically acclaimed episodes provide the most thrill on top of mind-bending storytelling and suspense. Discover all five episodes between April 16 and May 16. Then there’s some good ol’ Darksiders action – available April 1-15, one of the games that heightened the last generation. Back to War in between Heaven and Hell through infallible hacking, slashing, and wrought mayhem.
And, of course, Assassin’s Creed Revelations marks the epic conclusion to our favorite assassin. The story of Ezio began and ended with last generation.
