In Just a Few Short Months, Sony Will Be Discontinuing PlayStation Now Services on All Platforms Except for PS4 and PC

Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment made an announcement that might shake up some PlayStation Now users. This includes not only PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, but all TV services as well.

Just in case you weren’t sure which platforms included PlayStation Now services other than PS4 and PC, listed below is the entire list of platforms that will no longer continue to provide PlayStation Now:

  • PlayStation 3
  • PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV
  • All 2013, 2014, 2015 Sony Bravia TV models
  • All Sony Blu-ray player models
  • All Samsung TV models

The 2016 models of Sony Bravia TVs are also set to be discontinued entirely on April 1, 2017.

If you have one of these devices and you don’t plan on continuing your service, Sony advises that PS Now users disable their auto-renewal services by “April 1, 2017 on 2016 Sony Bravia TVs, and August 15, 2017 on all other devices.”

Although the services on these platforms will be discontinued indefinitely, the PS Now game saves can be accessed from the cloud on both PS4 and PC.
