A First Look at Nintendo Switch Cartridges
It’s been known for a while now that Nintendo was making the move back to cartridges with the Nintendo Switch. While it was surprising to many to see a major gaming console move away from discs it’s also amazing how far we’ve come in terms of flash storage. Those little cartridges will likely be able to hold a ton of data. With the Nintendo Switch presentation out of the way and preorders opened up Nintendo also hosted a ton of hands-on events for press around the world. At one event someone was able to snag some shots of the upcoming Switch title, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and you can take a look at those shots below.
The move back to cartridges definitely brings some questions alongside it such as what the load times might be and how many will get lost in couch cushions every year but with the March 3, 2017 release date fast approaching we won’t have long to wait to find out.
