130 Million Units Sold for Nintendo Switch During Q2 2023
As per Nintendo Switch Q2 2023 Sales Report, the consoles switch sales almost hit 130 units. Nintendo recently shared these numbers as a part of its Q2 2023 financial statistics. The best-selling game title has been given to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which sold close to 18.5 million copies. Also, the Super Mario Bros released this April have helped in exponentially increasing the sales of Mario Related titles to a great extent. Around 1.67 million Mario Kart 8 Deluxe units have been sold so far.
Coming to the total hardware sales for Nintendo Switch, the number lies close to 129.53 million. Similarly, the software sales count up to 1.08835 billion. Coming to the percentage increase in sales, there has been a 13.9% year-on-year increase in the sale of hardware units, while the software unit sales increased by 26.1% each year.
Well! If we compare the Nintendo Switch sales with the other handheld and console devices like PS2, there is a difference of around 29.17 million as the sales for PS2 have already touched the 158.7 million mark.
Also, if we talk about Nintendo DS handheld hardware, about 154.02 million units have been sold. Further breaking down the Nintendo Switch sales, we get standard Switch sales sold around 0.64 million units, while Switch OLED and Switch Lite sales touched the 2.83 million and 0.43 million mark, respectively.
With video game lovers playing Nintendo Switch console games even more than before, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been the most significant selling game, with around 55.46 million pieces being sold to date. Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros Ultimate sold 42.79 million and 31.77 million units, respectively.
