GTA V Mod’s Enormous New Map Promised in Teaser Trailer
Grand Theft Auto Online has received a steady stream of content updates since its release. Unfortunately, the single player campaign hasn’t gotten the same level of attention. This is where the PC version comes in. The GTA V mod community is a vibrant one. Soon players will have access to a truly ambitious bit of free content.
Modding team OpenIV recently announced a new GTA V mod which will introduce a playable map of GTA IV’s Liberty City. The new city will not replace Los Santos, so players should be able to move between the two cities at will.
In order to save space, the mod requires a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV. This has the added benefit of avoiding any copyright issues involved in using the assets in question. Some might consider this a deterrent. Thankfully GTA IV is frequently on sale at a deep discount, so the associated cost (if any) will be low.
The Grand Theft Auto V Liberty City mod is currently in development, and a release date has yet to be confirmed. Hopefully more information will be coming soon. The mod looks like a perfect chance to revisit Liberty City.
